Epoxy Timber Preserver - is a two pack, solvent based polyamide cured epoxy primer designed to seal timber/plywood to prevent water and other chemicals damaging timber.
Epoxy Timber Preserver is also excellent to seal all forms of porous surfaces prior to the application of top coats, adhesives and sand filled epoxy trowel flooring.
Epoxy Timber Preserver may be used on metal, wood, concrete and masonry surfaces and most plastics and cures to effect a tough penetrating membrane resistant to water and mild aqueous chemical solutions.
Epoxy Timber Preserver offers ease of application and may be readily applied using brush, roller, or spray.
MIXING - To achieve thorough mixing, the use of a power driven stirrer is strongly recommended. If complete packs are to be used, remove the lips from both the resin and hardener cans. Mix the resin base and hardener for three minutes. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the mixing container, and mix again for a further three minutes.
Allow the mixed Epoxy Timber Preserver to age for 25-30 minutes, mix again for two minutes.
Accurately measure out equal parts resin and hardener by volume using a graduated measuring device.
SURFACE PREPARATION - Prior to applying any epoxy resin based system, ensure the substrate has been correctly prepared and is dean and dry.
COVERAGE - The timber preserver acts just like water in coverage. When timber is dry? Then it soaks it up. When timber has the second of two coats, then very little. If on glass surface? one ltr would cover 24 sq mtrs
